Hurlock police warn public about string of vehicle break-ins
HURLOCK, Md. – Hurlock Police issued a warning to the public about vehicle break-ins Thursday.
Police altered the community in a Facebook post, saying the break-ins happened on Barnes Court, Academy and Charles Streets, and Wrights Avenue. Major Jeffrey Biskach, Deputy Chief of the department, told WMDT the vehicles were “ransacked,” with anything of value taken.
“Typically, they will go through a community looking for cars that are not secured or locked. If they find something unlocked, they will go through the consoles, the glove boxes. If they can get in the trunk, they’ll access the trunk,” Maj. Biskach said.
Police are asking the community to lock their vehicles, and not to leave valuables inside. And if you see something suspicious, call police at 410-943-4020.
