Easton teen arrested after leading Cambridge Police in stolen vehicle chase

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – A 16-year-old from male from Easton is facing charges after police say he led them on a chase in a stolen vehicle.

On July 16th at 1:58 a.m., Cambridge Police say they spotted the vehicle run a stop sign at Skinners Street and Park Lane. When police say they tried to pull the vehicle over, it took off. Before it got away, officers ran the license plate and discovered the vehicle was stolen.

Police say the vehicle ran another stop sign at Greenwood Avenue and Washington Street, and crashed into a driveway. The driver was injured and flown to Shock Trauma.

After he was released from the hospital, police say the male juvenile was found to be in possession of marijuana. He also did not have a driver’s license, according to police.

Police say the teen has been referred to the Department of Juvenile Services on multiple charges.
