Body of missing Rehoboth Beach swimmer recovered and identified

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – The body of a swimmer who went missing in Rehoboth Beach last week has been recovered.

Rehoboth Beach Police say 27-year-old Gregory Karitu of Kenya was identified as the victim. His body was found in the water off the coast of Cape Henlopen near Herring Point. Police say no foul play is suspected.

The U.S. Coast Guard, Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, and Rehoboth Beach Fire Company assisted in the search.
