Bank robbery in Easton under investigation
EASTON, Md. – A bank robbery in Easton is under investigation.
Around 2:34 p.m. on June 2nd, Easton Police responded to BayVanguard Bank on Idlewild Avenue. Employees described the suspect as an African American male wearing a white long-sleeve shirt and pants, black shoes and sling bag, a lime green baseball hat, and sunglasses. The suspect was further described as being between 5’6″ and 6’0″ tall, having a thin build and goatee, and possibly in his 30’s.
Police say the suspect brandished a handgun and demanded money with a note. He was able to get away with cash on foot. The suspect was last seen running on Idlewild Avenue toward Idlewild Park. No one was hurt.
The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office, Maryland State Police, and the FBI are assisting with the investigation. Investigators ask citizens who own surveillance cameras to check their footage for any sign of the suspect.
