Homicide investigation underway after early morning shooting in Crisfield

CRISFIELD, Md. – Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Crisfield.

Around 1:15 a.m. on Feb. 15, Crisfield Police responded to the area of Third and Cove Streets for a reported shooting. When officers arrived, they located 43-year-old Keyon Demetrius Honesty of Princess Anne, Md. suffering an apparent gunshot wound. Honesty was taken to TidalHealth McCready Pavillion Hospital, where he later died.

Multiple other area agencies responded to the scene. The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit is leading the investigation.

Police are seeking home security footage from residences in the area of Somers Cove between 1:10 a.m. and 1:35 a.m. on the day in question. Anyone with information or video related to the incident is urged to contact Corporal Kyle Braightmeyer at 443-480-6816.
