Accidental firearm discharge inside Dover courthouse under investigation

DOVER, Del. – An accidental firearm discharge inside the Kent County Courthouse on Tuesday is being investigated.

According to investigators, around 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 14, a firearm was accidentally discharged during Justice of the Peace Constable training. No injuries were reported.

Delaware Capitol Police are investigating the incident with the help of the Dover Police Department. The Department of Justice was notified of the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
