Former President Trump shot at campaign rally
REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – Former President Donald Trump was shot at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.
In Butler Pennsylvania, Trump was struck in the right ear after multiple gunshots were heard going off during his speech. Officials say the suspected shooter fired multiple shots from an elevated position, outside of the rally. Witnesses heard popping sounds just before Trump ducked for cover. Many political leaders are speaking out against this behavior.
President Joe Biden responded to the attack from Rehoboth Beach saying “The bottom line is — the Trump Rally was a rally. He should’ve been able to conduct a peaceful rally without any problem, but the idea, the idea that there is political violence or violence in America like this is unheard of. It is not appropriate, I mean with everyone, everyone must condemn it.”
The Secret Service and FBI we’re able to safely evacuate Trump from the area without further injury. The suspected shooter is dead. CNN reports one rally attendee is dead and two are critically injured.
