Shore Up! crunching the numbers for energy assistance

DELMARVA – Shore Up! is also offering some tips to save on your energy bill.

They typically provide heating energy assistance but they may have some funds left over for the summer. People usually use the funding assistance to buy window units to cool their homes in the summer.

We spoke with Shore Up! who says to continue to check their website because there is a great need this time of year. “We do get a lot of inquiries about help with air conditioners. Certainly, once the weather turns hot we always always end up with a lot of people asking how can they get an air conditioner window unit for their household,” said Julie Peters, Chief Communications Officer with Shore Up.

Shore Up! will know exactly how much funding they will have for local residents after they crunch the numbers from their winter heating funding.
