Men’s Health Fair in Dover happening June 15th

DOVER, Del. – NeighborGood Partners is hosting a health fair in Dover next week.

It’s specifically highlighting men’s health. Organizers say it’s a free event with food and resources including prostate education and glucose monitoring. A speaker at the event will highlight finances, mental health, and fatherhood as well.

Rona Harris says this is a need because men usually put their health on the back burner. “We are focusing on trying to reduce their chances of getting chronic disease and illness and injuries, allow them to really focus on their health because men don’t typically go to doctors, especially African American men,” said Rona Harris, Restoring Central Dover Community Development Manager.

The men’s health fair is on June 15th from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the Solid Rock Community Center. For vendors looking to participate, you can register by June 13th. Click here.
