Five OCPD officers under investigation after alleged workplace misconduct

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Five Ocean City Police (OCPD) officers are under investigation for alleged workplace misconduct.

The complaint was submitted in April, and OCPD’s Office of Professional Standards is conducting an administrative investigation. Those findings will be sent to the Worcester County Administrative Charging Committee. The complaint will also be forwarded to the Police Accountability Board.

OCPD says three of the five individuals have been suspended, pending the investigation’s outcome. Another individual has been transferred from the Patrol Division to the Support Services Division.

In a news release, OCPD stated that “Chief Buzzuro and the Ocean City Police Department take this matter seriously and are committed to conducting comprehensive and meticulous investigations of citizen complaints.”
