SU’s Blackwell Hall to receive renovations
SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury University’s Blackwell Hall is getting major upgrades to the tune of $19.2 million dollars.
The work is being made possible by money specifically included for SU in Maryland’s budget for 2025. Previously, the building was used as a flex space for campus initiatives and the library.
SU President Carolyn Lepre says with the upgrades, Blackwell Hall will become a campus hub for student services making it easier for students to get their needs met in a one-stop shop. “It’s also going to feature a whole suite of high-impact practices so that our students can not only get those practical things that they need but also going to be able to engage super high-end practices that will really impact their educational experience,” said President Lepre.
The project is expected to be completed by Fall of 2026 with an estimated total cost of $60 million dollars.
