Program open for sign ups, teaching youth about local government
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – In Cambridge, a program is open for signups to help the youth learn more about government.
It’s called the summer career enrichment program. A 4-week program for sixth through ninth graders to get involved in hands-on careers in government. Students will be able to learn a plethora of skills in different industries.
We spoke with the Cambridge Association of Neighbors President who tells us this is a win for the youth and the city. “To learn how government really works, its a really nice summer program for the kids and for the city, because the city can use the extra help,” said Chuck McFadden.
The program is working in partnership with other organizations including three county school systems. To register for the program visit the People for Change Coalition’s website.
