New incentive program set to beautify Cambridge sidewalks

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – The city of Cambridge is looking to beautify its residential neighborhoods.

It’s all a part of the city manager’s newest incentive program. The city of Cambridge has already set aside $200,000 for sidewalk replacements. With that funding, residents will be able to get their sidewalks redone through Shore Construction.

The resident would pay the city back over a period of 5 years in a 0% interest loan. “The goal of the program is to make the entire city of Cambridge walkable and accessible and connected by improving residential and commercial walks throughout the community,” said Tom Carroll, City Manager of Cambridge.

Carroll estimates this funding will support 150 sidewalks in the area. To sign up for the program you can visit the city of Cambridge’s website.
