Dover Police arrest three on robbery charges Wednesday night

DOVER, Del. – Two 17-year-olds and a 20-year-old are facing charges following a robbery at Westover Village Apartments Wednesday night.

Around 8:25 p.m., officers responded to the complex, searching for a black Dodge Durango that had fled the area. Police soon after located the vehicle in the area of Liberty Court Apartments. However, police say the vehicle sped off.

When the vehicle reached a dead end, police say three suspects bailed and ran away. Three others remained in the vehicle, and were identified as the two 17-year-old males, and 20-year-old John Gregory. Each of the three were arrested without incident.

Meanwhile, officers located a 9mm handgun nearby where the other three suspects had fled. Investigators believe that weapon was used to rob a victim at gunpoint.

The first 17-year-old is charged with first degree robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm/ammunition by a person prohibited, and second degree conspiracy. He was committed to Stevenson House Correctional Facility on $25,000 bond.

The second 17-year-old is charged with first degree robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm/ammunition by a person prohibited, and second degree conspiracy. He was committed to Stevenson House Correctional Facility on $3,000 bond.

Gregory was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $20,000 bond. He is charged with first degree robbery, failure to stop for a police signal, and second degree conspiracy.
