Volunteers needed to help clean-up with Project Clean Stream

EASTON, Md. – Volunteers are needed to help clean up in the Easton area.

ShoreRivers is hosting clean-up events as part of Project Clean Stream. It’s an opportunity for citizens to work across the watershed to clean the shared water resource. Volunteers range from all ages, and if you’re looking for service hours, this is a great opportunity.

We spoke with organizers who say this is a great opportunity to help clean up your local community. “Recognizing that the water is something that everyone should be able to access and enjoy. All the work that we do is focused on water quality and we focus on water quality both for the habitat and the organisms that live within the water, but also for the community that uses the water,” said Maegan White.

For each clean-up, gloves and trash bags will be provided. To volunteer for the upcoming clean ups you should reach out to Maegan.

Visit ShoreRiver’s website for upcoming event details.
