Diakonia in need of pillows
OCEAN CITY, Md. – A local shelter in Ocean City is asking for your help.
Diakonia is in need of some pillows and other essentials for the homeless community. We spoke with the shelter who told us they could use paper products, protein shakes, cleaning supplies, and blankets.
Program coordinator Tory Stone said this time around there is an increase in the need of supplies. “So we’re really at that point where the town has been pretty sleepy in Ocean City for the last couple of months and now it’s starting to pick up and our services are becoming increased along with our outreach team,” Tory Stone, Program Coordinator for Diakonia.
The shelter is open 24-7. You can drop off your donated items between 8 and 4 pm at the shelter in Ocean City.
