Salisburys’ Unity Park to be completed at the end of April
SALISBURY, Md. – Unity Park in Salisbury is moving along.
In the downtown area, it will be a flex space for community members and visitors to check out and enjoy some fresh air. The last underground systems of the park are being put in place.
After that, the city says the surface work will be completed.
Will White with the City says the project is moving along and community members can expect it to be done very soon. “Right now we’re targeting mid to end of April, just cause of weather we had earlier in the project and then just some supply chain delays on a couple things we need to finish up but the project will largely be open on time, by the end of March and then the last few pieces will trickle in,” said Will White, Transportation Manager for the City of Salisbury.
In the summer there will be a splash pad area and a kid’s play area. This marks the first time anything like this has come to Salisbury.
