UMES clarifies housing availability ahead of Spring semester
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Officials at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) are clearing up confusion about on-campus living.
The university has set aside housing for returning students. Currently, they are updating some of the dorms and doing some cleaning. School officials tell 47 ABC WMDT students awaiting information on housing should be proactive and regularly check their emails, as selections become available.
One official breaks down the numbers on what will be available for the spring semester. “We have over 1600 beds that are outlined for our students we have set aside over 200 new student beds for students who are just joining the campus and all of our returning students who were here this fall will be able to be welcome back,” said Latoya Jenkins, Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Experience at UMES.
The university will be hosting a housing and residential webinar on January 9th.
