Sean McHugh announces his run for Wicomico County Council District 5 seat

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – In Wicomico County, Sean McHugh announced he is throwing his hat in the race for county council.

McHugh is currently the town of Pittsville’s commission president. He’s served for the past 4 years and is looking to fill District 5’s seat in 2026. Joe Holloway is the incumbent.

In a social media post, McHugh said

“I have represented the outstanding people of Pittsville for the past 4 years and continue to serve as the President of the Commissioners. I feel my knowledge and experience will be beneficial to the overall strengthening and growth of Wicomico County as a whole.”
