Talbot Co. man held without bond following assault investigation

QUEEN ANNE, Md. – A Talbot County man is behind bars without bond following an alleged assault and an incident involving a firearm.

Talbot County Sheriff’s Office investigators responded to the University of Maryland Emergency Center in Queenstown, Md. on December 22nd. Investigators interviewed a female subject who claimed to be the victim of two separate assaults.

The assailant was identified as 33-year-old Travis N. Lynch of Queen Anne, Md. The victim told investigators that the assaults had taken place on the 13000 block of Cannery Road in September and October.

Police say, in the first incident, the victim was grabbed by Lynch after she caught him performing a sex act while watching her in the bathroom. In the second incident, police say Lynch threatened the victim and another person with a firearm while the three were sitting in a parked vehicle.

Lynch was arrested on the same day as the victim’s interview. Following his arrest, investigators searched Lynch’s home and vehicle, recovering ammunition and loaded pistol. Lynch is a convicted felon, who is prohibited from possessing a regulated firearm. He is charged with two counts of first degree assault, three counts of second degree assault, and two counts of reckless endangerment.
