Residential fire in Salisbury under investigation
SALISBURY, Md. – A Christmas Day fire at a home in Salisbury is under investigation.
The Maryland Office of the State Fire Marshal says the fire broke out in the rear enclosed porch on a home on Coulbourn Mill Road around 12:15 p.m. A neighbor reported the flames, and multiple fire departments answered the call for service.
The two-alarm fire took 60 firefighters about an hour to get under control. None of the home’s occupants were hurt. Four dogs and a pet rabbit were rescued from the burning home. However, a pet bird and several pet fish perished in the fire. The fire caused about $400,000 in damage.
