Free bus service in Ocean City for NYE

OCEAN CITY, Md. – The town of Ocean City is announcing a safe alternative to getting behind the wheel if you are celebrating the new year in the area.

The OC Beach Bus will be free on New Year’s Eve, Bus services will start at 6:00 a.m on Sunday, December 31st until 3:00 a.m. Monday, January 1st.

They will run every 30 minutes from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on December 31st and roughly every 15 minutes from 6 p.m. December 31 – 3 a.m. January .1

Ocean City Police will also be stepping up their D-U-I enforcement throughout the weekend.

“We will have additional officers on the road focusing solely on DUI enforcement, the Ocean City Police Department would like to remind everyone that driving under the influence includes more than just alcohol, this year, cannabis use became legal in the state of Maryland. Driving under the influence of cannabis does impair your ability to drive safely and make sound decisions,” said OCPD PIO Ashley Miller.
