EASTON, Md. – Eight people are facing charges for their alleged involvement in a drug trafficking operation in Talbot County.

The Talbot County Drug Task Force and Homeland Security Investigations began their investigation in the spring of 2022. Police say more than two dozen local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies assisted in breaking up the ring.

The accused men allegedly sold and distributed large amounts of cocaine and heroin throughout Talbot, Dorchester, Caroline, and Queen Anne’s Counties.

42-year-old Sherman Nathaniel Greene Jr. is the accused kingpin, according to police. Greene Jr. is charged with importing large quantities of illegal drugs, while co-conspirators assisted in sale and distribution. Police say they served multiple search warrants on homes and vehicles across the four counties.

Those searches turned up more than 1,300 grams of suspected cocaine, suspected heroin/fentanyl, large amounts of alleged drug money, and two rifles. Investigators also seized seven vehicles that they say were used to transport the drugs.

61-year-old Anthony Tyrone Brinkley of Greensboro is facing numerous drug offenses including distribution, possession of drugs and paraphernalia. David Tyrone Carter Jr., 51 years old, of Chester is also charged.
