Delaware EARNS program set to help workers save more
DELAWARE – More money is now guaranteed for retired individuals in the first state.
The Delaware EARNS program helps prepare workers for the future. There are currently 150,000 Delawarean workers who have no way of saving through their employer.
State Treasurer Colleen Davis says with a simpler program she hopes more of the elderly population will take advantage of the helpful resource. “We’re sort on the tipping point of a financial crisis when it comes to the preparation so there are a lot of folks who are kind of putting it off and we’re trying to make it as easy and effortless as possible,” said Colleen Davis.
The program will be automatically activated through your employer if the option does not already exist. To see the savings plans visit the state’s website.
