Adoption fees waived at the Brandywine Valley SPCA until 12/31

GEORGETOWN, Del. – Brandywine Valley SPCA is now hosting a new special to get more animals adopted.

The animal shelter says following their mega adoption last week they still have a few furry friends that need to be adopted. This time of year they say the stock at the shelter looks to be relatively normal, however it’s still better to adopt instead of shop.

If you’re looking, they have plenty of animals that they’re still working to get adopted. “We’re right about normal right now. At this time of year, we have plenty of dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens looking for their forever home. But, we always have animals for someone looking to adopt for sure,” said Sara Smith, with the Brandywine Valley SPCA.

With their current special, you can take home your own fur-ever friend from now until December 31st. The cost will be free with all the essential dog requirements to be a new doggy owner.
It’s thanks to an annual donation. “Gabriel and Emma’s gift covers that adoption fee which could run anywhere between $225 and $350. It also covers the microchipping, spay and neutering, the vaccines, that’s all covered as part of the sponsored adoption fees,” Smith said.

The dogs included are over 1 year old and more than 40 pounds.
