Fourth annual Thanksgiving Giveaway coming to Cambridge
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – A Cambridge business owner is getting ready to bring his community together with a Thanksgiving giveaway.
This year marks the fourth annual celebration and the owner of the Groove City Mini Mart Isaac Adams is hoping residents will come out this Saturday to get in on the fun. The event will be action-packed with music – games – and food. And of course, they’ll be giving away hot meals and Thanksgiving turkeys.
Adams says everyone’s welcome to come out and have a good time. “Being able to give back to them, seeing the smiles on their face. It’s just a great feeling since it’s hard times out here. We been there, been through the struggle so we understand. It’s just a good feeling to take care of the people that take care of us,” Adams said.
Last year between 400 and 500 meals were given away along with 200 turkeys. This year it’s taking place November 18th starting at 3 pm at 441 Race Street. The event is free to the public.
