Emily’s Produce closing down for the season
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Wednesday marks the final day of the Season for Emily’s Produce in Cambridge. The farm stand saw more than 200 customers coming in to pick up their reserved farm turkeys, and purchase and buy all kinds of fresh goods like fruits, and veggies, pies and more.
Owners tell 47 ABC WMDT it’s making for a strong sales day to end the season. They add that it was a successful year, but rainy weekends set back the outdoor venue and events schedule.
“We’re a tourism kind of destination, So lining up our tourism and our crop production like the pumpkin patch is tricky, so when it rains every weekend and people want to get out in the pumpkin patch and pick it makes it a little difficult, but we adjust,’ said Co-Owner Emily Wright.
Wright says next year they’re looking to add more vegan and gluten-free options in their market. They’re also planning for more live music and events at their outdoor venue.
