Vigil planned in Delmar following fatal teen crash

Lloyd StreetDELMAR, Md –  Following a late-night crash in Salisbury that left one Delmar teen dead and one in critical condition, the Delmar community will be holding a bonfire vigil Sunday to rally the community together and remember the victims.

Community Organizer Doug Marshall tells 47ABC, that the event is set to start at 6:00 pm behind the Delmar Walgreens on the corner of Rt 54 and Old Stage Road.

Marshall says Miller’s Tree Service and other local businesses have been donating wood to help with the bonfire.

Organizers say the Delmar Fire Department and Police Department will be participating in the event.

Marshall says State Senator Mary Beth Carozza is also expected to speak.
