Rehoboth Beach opens public traffic survey ahead of Seawitch Festival

Public Traffic Survey

Rehoboth Beach, Del. –  The City of Rehoboth Beach is launching a community traffic survey, ahead of the Sea Witch Festival this weekend.

This is the city’s second recent traffic study but this one will focus on user feedback, asking respondents to mark if they are businesses, residents, or tourists, and asking them to describe where they are running into traffic issues.

City officials say they’re hoping to highlight traffic problems that might go otherwise unreported.

“Trying to understand from the public’s perspective, what are some of those main contributors, is there a lack of turnover in parking spaces or not enough information on parking or delivery vehicles possibly parked blocking parking spaces, but also trying to understand some of the main contributors to the congestion that we see in the city,” said Rehoboth Beach Assistant City Manager.

The survey is expected to run for a month’s time, with data being made public, as well as being incorporated into the findings of a separate traffic study that will give recommendations to the city upon completion.
