Man arrested for disregarding police in Felton

Stryker Mug ShotFELTON, Del. – On October 26, 2023, the Felton Police Department arrested Nicholas Stryker, of Frederica, Delaware for disregarding a police officer among other charges.

Around 12:55 P.M. on October 26th Stryker was traveling Westbound in the 100 block of East Main Street in the town limits of Felton. A Felton Police Patrol vehicle was stationed in the 100th block of East Main Street conducting traffic enforcement. Styker went by the marked police vehicle in a yellow motorcycle where he pulled the front wheel off the ground, conducting a wheelie. The officer turned on his emergency lights and siren and attempted to stop the motorcycle.

Styker looked back at the police car making a hand gesture, failing to stop again pulling off another wheelie. The motorcycle was traveling at a slow speed and appeared to be stopping as the patrol got alongside the motorcycle. Styker attempted to flee again before hitting the passenger side door of the police car, leaving a minor dent in the door and bringing the motorcycle to a stop. The motorcycle was not registered and did not have any insurance.

Stryker turned himself in to the police department. He is charged with:

  • Disregarding a Police Officer Signal
  • First Offense (Class G Felony)
  • Resisting Arrest (Class A Misdemeanor)
  • Malicious Mischief By a MV (Misdemeanor)
  • Reckless Driving (Misdemeanor) Failure to have Required Insurance (Misdemeanor)
  • Failure to Provide Information at a Collision Scene Resulting in Property Damage (Misdemeanor)
  • Operation of an Unregistered MV (Violation)
  • Failure to use Turn Signal (Violation)
  • Failure to Have License in Possession (Violation) and Operating a Motorcycle without Complete Attention (Violation)

Stryker was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court #2 and released on a $5,400 unsecured bond pending a later court date. Additionally, he was issued a no-contact order with the Town of Felton.
