UPDATE: Laurel shooting under investigation, 3 victims, 1 a fatality

LAUREL, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting in the area of Belle Avenue and West 7th Street in Laurel, Delaware.

The Laurel Police Department is also on the scene. Officials say a shooting incident occurred with multiple victims. Victim statuses are not being released at this time.

West 7th Street, Center Street, and West 8th Street are all shut down. Police say you should expect a heavy police presence by multiple assisting agencies, police K9, and police aviation. They ask that you avoid the area.

Delaware State Police confirmed there are 3 victims from this shooting, 1 being a fatality. It is believed to be an isolated incident.
