Laurel School District cancels classes for Monday, October 30th following shooting

368461020 762245332572627 7269956711433353468 NLAUREL, Del. – Laurel School District will be closed on Monday, October 30th following a shooting incident of 3 victims, 1 being a fatality.

Superintendent, Dr. Shawn Larrimore says “The safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community members remain our top priority.” With that being said, school has been canceled for tomorrow. Dr. Larrimore says “We believe this precautionary measure is necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone associated with our school district.”

He says: “Our thoughts and prayers go out to our students and their families affected by this incident, and we hope for a swift resolution to this ongoing situation. We will continue to closely monitor developments and stay in close contact with local law enforcement to ensure we have the most up-to-date information regarding the situation.”

“We understand the challenges and anxiety that such events can bring, and we are committed to providing support and resources to our students, families, and staff members in the days ahead.
