Cambridge-Dorchester Regional Airport to get HVAC upgrades

Vlcsnap 2023 10 16 16h13m35s201DORCHESTER COUNTY, Md. – Money is being pumped into Dorchester County in the Department of Transportations Statewide tour.

MDOT is providing funding across the state to strengthen transportation. It’s funding that Dorchester County officials say is a need, specifically for the Cambridge – Dorchester Regional Airport.
$337,000 will be poured into the airport.

It will support the HVAC system, which is outdated and has been slowing down over the years. “The HVA system will give us a lot more individual control of the living spaces and also it will be a lot more energy efficient because it is much newer equipment. It’s going to allow us to operate virtually for the next 15-20 years,” said Steve Nuwer, the Airport Director of Cambridge-Dorchester Regional Airport.

The projects for the airport must be completed no later than May 2024, that is roughly 6 months. Construction will start roughly in December.
