Cambridge Chief Police highlights crime report
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – We’re learning more about crime numbers in Cambridge with its new town hall report.
The report details the statistics of current crime trends and traffic enforcement issues. Cambridge police say this year, they’ve seen a 71.5% drop in homicides. The report also says that bullet casings collected at some crime scenes have been linked to other crimes in Baltimore and Washington D.C.
Chief Justin Todd says the city has a plan to reduce crime numbers even more. “Continuously doing things to improve our community relations, getting out there patrolling. Will continue to do that, look at other avenues, we want to try new things. We’re going to keep pulling things out of our box of knowledge and education and training that we’ve all been to and we’re going to keep trying new things,” said Chief Justin Todd, of the Cambridge Police Department.
