What you need to know about the Ocean’s Calling boardwalk closings
OCEAN CITY, Md. – Oceans Calling will be back in Ocean City in just 2 days.
We have some tips for you if you’re headed that way to get in on the fun. For the musical festival, part of the boardwalk will be shut down to keep everyone safe. The businesses on the strip also petitioned and agreed with the city that this was a good idea as it will help more people patronize their stores.
Specifically, the boardwalk South of North Division Street will not be open to the public during festival weekend. “It was important for us, for crowd safety, we felt to have the boardwalk included in the event footprint so people could move more easily between the different stages,” said Terrence McGean, the Ocean City City Manager.
The rest of the boardwalk will be open as usual. The City encourages you to pack your patience if you’re coming out this weekend as traffic will be heavier and parking will be harder to find.
