Upcoming career fair connects local employers with job seekers

SALISBURY, Md.- Whether you’re on the hunt for part-time work, a career change, or just searching for the right opportunity an upcoming job fair could be the help you need.

The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce and the Lower Shore American Job Center are hosting it. Upwards of 70 companies and organizations representing a variety of industries from government to agriculture will be on site.

Organizers told 47ABC that many businesses are still in desperate need of workers “Small businesses as well as large businesses. The hospitality industry, manufacturing, the healthcare segment, and many other industries are still looking for qualified help and for people that want to get in office and want to work,” Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce President Bill Chambers said.

A ‘resume doctor’ with the Lower Shore American Job Center will also be on site to help work on your resume or start a new one.

The fair is on Thursday, October 5th at The Centre at Salisbury from 3:00-6:00p.m.
