Queen Anne’s wins overtime thriller against WiHi

CENTREVILLE, Md.– Queen Anne’s defeated WiHi in final score of 25-19 on Friday night.

Queen Anne’s would be the ones to get on the scoreboard first as the as Devin Wright connected with Landon Brown for the touchdown. WiHi bounced back in the 2nd quarter and tied it up with a rushing touchdown from Jordan Hayman.

Both teams would continue to trade blows throughout the game. The Tribe would try to tip the scales in their favor after a huge rushing touchdown from Takai Hugee in the 3rd to give WiHi the 19-13 lead.

QA and WiHi would stay deadlocked at 19 all throughout the end of regulation. WiHi won the toss in OT and chose to start on offense. Hugee would cross into the end zone to give WiHi the lead, but the TD would not stand as the offense would get called for a holding.

The Tribe would attempt a field but it would be no good, and Queen Anne’s would take their shot for the win. RB John Connolly on 2nd down would punch it right up the gut for the TD and the win. QA picked up their first win on the season and improve to 1-2 on the year.
