Police, fire marshals investigating Cambridge fire

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Police and fire marshals are investigating a house fire in Cambridge.

The fire was reported at around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, at 406 Muir Street. We’re told the fire is believed to have been the result of an ongoing domestic issue, as the occupant had not been home since the previous day due to a fear for her safety. A friend reportedly discovered the fire after going to the home to collect some of her belongings on Saturday.

There were no injuries. Damage has been estimated at $1,500.
