Ocean City Fire Department announces update on new fire station construction

OCEAN CITY, Md – Construction is progressing at the site of the new Midtown Fire Station 3 in Ocean City according to the Ocean City Fire Department.

OCFD says as of this week, the elevator shaft has been built along with the north wall of the future site. The department says the apparatus bay floors on which vehicles will be stored have been poured.

OCFD is thanking the community for supporting the project and is now offering them a chance to get even more involved, with the option to purchase a legacy brick to be included in the construction of the new station.

These bricks can bear family names, individual names in memory of a loved one, or in honor of someone special.
