MDTA looking for feedback for bay crossing survey
DELMARVA – When you think of the Bay Bridge, you might think of sitting in traffic.
On the rare occasion, you can get right over the bridge.
Traffic congestion may not last much longer with the new bay crossing study survey by the Maryland Transportation Authority. The study aims to research travel reliability, mobility, and safety. It’ll also look at how to lower the bridge’s environmental impacts.
Right now, changes to come are only in the planning process. “The alternative we would be looking at mobile, as well as a range of build alternatives that will include various alignments, crossing types, mobile and operational alternatives. This will include pedestrian and bicycle access as well as transit access,” said Melissa Williams, the Director of Planning of MDTA.
The MDTA is hosting a public Zoom meeting tomorrow and encourages people to take part in the survey and give their feedback.
