Hope To Dream Organization gives out 50 beds to those in need

SALISBURY, Md. – Local children in need of a bed are in luck, a new partnership is giving them out.

The Hope to Dream Organization is a partnership between Ashley Furniture, the Delmarva Shorebirds, and United Way. Officials tell us it’s the third year they have been able to make this donation. Wednesday they gifted 50 beds at the Perdue Stadium, to those in need. Students were also able to get school supplies at the event.

Officials tell us they do this every year to ensure everyone has a place to lay their head at night.

“There is definitely a need on Delmarva. This is our third distribution, this distribution will be 50 beds, we are giving away to children on the Eastern Shore, well, East Coast, Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia and there is definitely a need. Nominations are constantly coming in and we are blessed to be a part of something like this,” said Madelyn McCready, Marketing Director with Ashley Furniture.

For every bed purchased at Ashley Furniture, a portion of the proceeds pays for a bed for underserved children.
