Decatur blanks Bennett, Solito with play of the night

BERLIN, Md. – Decatur remained unbeaten in the 2023 season with a 35-0 home victory over Bennett Friday night.

Brycen Coleman tossed three touchdown passes. The senior found Trybe Wise, Gavin Solito, and Evan Copeland for scores.

Amarian Manuel scored the opening touchdown in the first quarter.

Gavin Solito showed incredible heart on a Bennett punt he blocked in the third quarter. Solito chased after the ball, he dove, saving it from going out of bounds. Careen Bolden recovered the football in the end zone for a touchdown.

Decatur (3-0) will host Snow Hill Friday night, while Bennett (1-2) hosts Queen Anne’s.
