String of Car break-ins in Berlin
BERLIN, Md – The Berlin Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in a string of thefts from unlocked vehicles early Saturday morning.
Police say around 1 am, suspects entered multiple vehicles at multiple locations in the areas of Bay Street and Maple Avenue.
Police say they responded to reports from over 20 victims, with some having multiple vehicles that were entered. Items taken from these vehicles include currency, wallets/purses, credit cards, and other valuables.
Berlin Police are asking anyone with information or video of these individuals, please contact the Berlin Police Department at 410-641-1333.
Police are advising residents to keep their vehicles locked, as the crimes did not involve the suspects breaking any windows or glass to gain access to the vehicles.
Police are also calling on the public to remove valuables from their vehicles at night including any large sums of cash, electronics, and wallets, that should be removed and secured inside your residence.
