MPO public participation plan survey for transportation now live
DELAWARE – In the first state, new developments are being made to support the state’s transportation system.
The Metropolitan Planning Organization plans to expand the system so that it supports the area’s growth, including Milford. The organization wants to make sure residents are happy that the plan aligns with federal laws for clean air and safety. The MPO wants to hear from the communities they serve because you know firsthand what your area needs.
Now they have launched a survey so you can make your voice heard. “It’s important we get every voice heard so that everyone regardless of whether or not you have a car, or regardless if you’re in city limits, if you live in the more rural areas, if you’re disabled, if you’re in one of the traditionally underserved communities, all of those people have to get to point a to point B,” said Helen Wiles with the Metropolitan Planning Organization.
The survey will be available until September 6th then the council will vote on the plan as written.
