SNOW HILL, Md. – A Stockton man has been sentenced for the 2022 murder of a man in Worcester County.

On January 24, 2022, police were called to respond to a motel in West Ocean City for a reported assault. Deputies located a male victim, later identified as Nicholas Pittman, lying on the ground unresponsive with a stab wound to the neck area. Pittman was pronounced dead shortly after by EMS.

Investigators located dramatic surveillance footage from the motel, which showed Pittman leaving Sherronte Robins’ room while holding his throat and eventually collapsing to the ground. Robins was reportedly seen on the video throwing an object out of his apartment, which was recovered by police and found to be a 10-inch steak knife covered in blood.

Robins was found guilty back in March of second degree murder, first and second degree assault, and reckless endangerment. He was sentenced last week to 40 years in prison.
