Widespread thunderstorms are expected to develop late in the afternoon west of the area and sweep across Delmarva this evening. Damaging winds, pockets of larger hail and flash flooding will be possible. An isolated spin-up tornado risk can’t be ruled out as well. Meteorologist Jake Grant has a midday update.
