MARSHALL, Texas.– Salisbury University softball fails to capture its first NCAA championship falling to the Trine Thunder 1-0.
Both sides remained at zero throughout the game, until the bottom of the seventh. With two outs in the inning Thunder Carolyn Biel brings in Emma Beyer to walk it off.
Salisbury started the series with a 1-0 lead following a two-run walk-off home run from Abby Mace, but fell in game two of the series, 6-2.
The Gulls end their season 46-4, finishing with back-to-back seasons with more than 40 wins.
