Fruitland man wanted for murder arrested in New Jersey
SALISBURY, Md. – A man wanted for murdering a man late last year in Salisbury was arrested last week in New Jersey.
44-year-old Riley Lee Collick was taken into custody at an apartment in Moorestown, New Jersey on Friday by U.S. Marshals.
Collick was wanted for first degree murder in the death of 32-year-old Alejandro Exantus on December 4, 2022.
The incident happened in the 100 block of West Market Street shortly before 12:45 a.m. Preliminary investigation revealed that Collick and Exantus had gotten into a physical altercation following an argument, and Collick was believed to have stabbed Exantus before fleeing the scene. Exantus was taken to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional by ambulance, where he was pronounced dead.
Collick is currently being held at a local detention center pending an extradition hearing back to Maryland.
