DSP to host 100th anniversary car show and community showcase
DOVER, Del. Delaware State Police is celebrating 100 years of service.
They’re hosting a car show and community showcase. We spoke with DSP that says there will be fun for everybody. It will be filled with antique cars, retro police cars, food trucks, and a DJ. The event is happening on June 17th at the DSP headquarters complex.
Corporal Leonard DeMalto says this is an event acknowledging the progress the organization has made with its community over time.
“We’re also celebrating the contacts that we’ve built with the community over this time, from our little humble beginnings when we started in 1923 until now, we believe we built a lot of capital with the community and made some really strong relationships,” Corporal Leonard DeMalto said.
Parking for the event will be at the Macy’s and Boscovs at the Dover Mall. If inclement weather comes into play, the car show and showcase will be moved to June 18th.
