DSP seeking public’s assistance to find Edward Stewart

BRIDGEVILLE, Del. – Delaware State Police are seeking the public’s assistance to locate Edward Stewart, 33 of Bridgeville, Delaware.

Stewart is wanted in connection with a domestic-related shooting of an adult victim and firing a weapon in the presence of two children during an altercation in the Greenwood area. Stewart has an active warrant for the following crimes:

  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited (Felony)
  • Assault Second Degree (Felony)
  • Reckless Endangering First Degree (Felony)- 3 counts
  • Aggravated Menacing (Felony)
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Felony)- 2 counts

DSP says attempts to find Stewart have been unsuccessful. He is described as a black male, standing approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 220 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Troopers are asking for the public’s help to locate Stewart. Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit is still investigating this shooting. Anyone with information regarding Stewart’s whereabouts is asked to contact Detective H. Lingo by calling (302) 752-3864.
